Nitrocellulose chip is made from plasticized nitrocellulose cotton through the process of kneading, calendering and slicing up. And it is white small thin flake. It is another form of nitrocellulose. And it contains less water, but the nitrated cotton content is higher than nitrocellulose. It is highly inflammable and it decomposes in the condition of heat. It reacts with acid and alkali. It dissolves in such organic solvents as benzene, acetone and esters.
